Sites, Assets and Monitoring Zones explained

Asseti’s power lies in the management of asset networks at scale. To build that network, Asseti uses Sites, Assets and Monitoring Zones, and in this article we will explain what each is and how they connect.

Sites

Sites are locations with an address (or latitude/longitude coordinates) and a function. Sites can encompass one or more Assets.

Examples of Sites in Asseti are:

• University campus
• Mining site
• Commercial office property
• Council park

Assets

Assets are a part of the built environment that require management.

Examples of Assets are listed here in coordination with the Site examples above;

Monitoring Zones

Monitoring Zones have been included for areas that require management, but haven’t been traditionally considered within asset management plans. Users should utilize this functionality as is of greatest benefit to their organization.

Data associated with Sites, Assets and Monitoring Zones

Data can be uploaded to Asseti at any time. That data will automatically associate with geolocated Sites – data that isn’t associated with a Site cannot be used in Asseti.

Uploaded data will similarly auto-associate with Assets and Monitoring Zones, based on geolocation data embedded in the uploaded data.
