PFM-WA faced three significant challenges in its building and asset management operations:

Safety challenges in accessing spaces. “Accessing roofs and facades safely is a priority for us and always a major concern,” according to PFM-WA’s Business Improvement Manager, Grant White. “Uncertainty about their condition made it risky to send people up. Traditional methods of analysing building conditions relied on manual effort. “Reviewing vast amounts of drone imagery manually was incredibly time-consuming and left room for human error. We were seeking a timely, cost-effective, automated solution,” White says.
3. Difficulty providing accurate asset condition reports. “Some of our client’s sites were hard to access due to their location or posed structural challenges like steep roof pitches. That made it virtually impossible to perform definitive condition assessments.”

The ability to view the entire portfolio in one place, with all associated costs summarised, has been invaluable.”
3. Automated issue detection. Asseti’s advanced AI capabilities allowed PFM-WA to automatically analyse building and component conditions, transforming their approach to asset management. “AI never gets tired or distracted.
